To create a premium service to help you meet your Usability and Usability Testing / cmc / IFU requirements, Intersection has put together the most experienced team of experts in California to address your needs. Our group is led by Dr. Joely Gardner, widely known in Human Factors & Usability Testing services (See link to her recent presentation on IFU Testing: http://www.thedesignacademy.com/#!joely-gardner-article/ip8). Dr. Gardner has a Certificate in Project Management and is a licensed psychologist and a Fellow and Diplomate in the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists & Psychodiagnosticians. She has performed extensive usability testing and voice of customer research projects for companies such as Mitchell Medical, ThermoFisher (Life Technologies), Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trials Division, and Cardinal Health. She is a part-time professor at California State University at Fullerton in the graduate-level certificate program in Customer Experience and User-Centered Design.
David is a Senior Advisor at Intersection and The Design Academy. Previously, David was founder and Managing Director of Launch Institute, a Technology Scouting firm. He based the founding of Launch Institute on his 25 years of corporate experience focused on technology innovation projects and consulting. His work has taken him across the globe, including the USA, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
David is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business focused on entrepreneurship, Design Thinking and business innovation. David has also lectured at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, CEDIM Design Institute in Monterrey, Mexico and GISMA Business School in Hamburg, Germany. David received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
David has been an entrepreneur, a corporate executive (formerly Senior Vice President, Computer Sciences Corporation) and a trusted advisor to a set of companies that have achieved significant success through their work with David. These companies include NASA, BMW AG, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Siemens and Bank of America. David is an LP in the Athens Angel Fund, on the board of FourAthens technology incubator as well as Athensmade, a mentor with Atlanta Tech Village and FourAthens, as well as an active participant in several startup ecosystems, including Austin, Texas, Boulder, Colorado, as well as Palo Alto, California.
