Our group is led by Dr. Joely Gardner, widely known in Human Factors & Usability Testing services (See link to her recent presentation on IFU Testing: http://www.thedesignacademy.com/#!joely-gardner-article/ip8). Dr. Gardner has a Certificate in Project Management and is a licensed psychologist and a Fellow and Diplomate in the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists & Psychodiagnosticians. She has performed extensive usability testing and voice of customer research projects for companies such as Mitchell Medical, ThermoFisher (Life Technologies), Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trials Division, and Cardinal Health. She is a part-time professor at California State University at Fullerton in the graduate-level certificate program in Customer Experience and User-Centered Design.

Sharon Wolfington joins Advisory Board
Intersection Inc, and the Design Academy are proud to announce the addition of Sharon Wolfington, formally known as Sharon Brown, to their Advisory Board.
With over 20 years of experience in leadership positions, Sharon has experience creating added value both in start-ups and established brands in medical devices and healthcare services. Most recently, Sharon served as President of DJO Recovery Services, where she was responsible for turnaround management of a $400M global business. Sharon was able to reduce operating expenses, achieving leverage and EBITDA growth, recently delivering 5% in Q3 2016. Prior to joining DJO, Sharon spent over a decade with Stryker. She worked her way up, was Vice President and General Manager of a $1B global business and served as President of Stryker Performance Solutions, where she created and launched a new business unit of systems and services to assist hospitals, patients, payers, and providers transform in response to the evolving healthcare model. During her tenure at Stryker, Sharon delivered over $350M of incremental revenue for Stryker.
She has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard, and received her bachelors from the University of Miami.
