We're celebrating!

We are thrilled and honored to announce that Intersection's education and research collaboratory, The Design Academy, received the WDC 2024 and City of San Diego Community-Driven Design Grant for advancing our work on the Democratizing Design project! The Design Academy is part of the 17 incredible organizations and businesses that will receive a total of $550,000 in grant funding! A special shout out to our partners UC Design Lab, CETYS University and the Democratizing Design team: Michelle Morris, Michelle Woodhouse, Diana Robinson, Elysia Mac, Anuujin Tsedenbal, Thomas Htet, Sabrina Cheng, Lauren Ibarra, Summer Williams with support from Mai Thi Nguyen, James White, the Youth & Education Design-to-Action Network leads Jorge F Sanchez-Jofras & Joe Erpelding and WDC Impact program manager Olivia Gale.

This grant program is a partnership of WDC 2024 and the City of San Diego, and funding for the grant program is made possible by the City of San Diego.
